You know that famous story about Galileo dropping two balls from the Leaning Tower of Pisa and proving they’d hit the ground at the same time?
Well, in 1976, a group of physicists at East Carolina University actually tried it. One ball was heavy, one was light. Guess what? The heavy one won the race. By a lot. The researchers even suspect Galileo never actually did the experiment himself 😂😅

Turns out, Galileo’s law only works in a vacuum. On Earth? Air resistance is the party crasher.

…Anyway it might just be a Renaissance-era science myth that stuck around because it sounds so cool.
